Detailed Description
The 1964 Anniversary Torpedo Natural begins with classic Padron elegance—a milk chocolate brown, box-pressed wrapper with minimal veins and softly rounded edges. On first light, notes of gentle mocha and milk chocolate appear, quickly joined by cedar and sweet toasted wood. The all-Nicaraguan filler and binder provide a balanced, medium-to-full bodied profile, bringing depth through evolving waves of black pepper, caramel, coffee bean, and creamy leather as the experience develops.
As the cigar progresses, richer flavors like cocoa, chestnut, and a subtle orange peel complexity come into play, providing a long, lingering finish that signals Padron’s signature richness. Baking spice, nutty undertones, and consistent sweetness remain from start to finish, while the torpedo format ensures even combustion and a focused draw that highlights every transition.
Construction ranks among the most reliable in the industry, with virtually zero need for touch-ups, flawless burn lines, and a smooth smoke output that suits both relaxed afternoons and celebratory occasions. Whether savored fresh or after extended humidor aging, the 1964 remains a must-have in any serious collection, earning critical acclaim for both everyday enjoyment and special milestones.

I’ll say it again… Let them rest! Padron Naturals get sweeter and better with age on them. Notes of caramel on the finish. It’s worth the wait!

The first 1/5 of the cigar has maintained a light milk chocolate flavor, and the smoke has become stronger since 2/5, and a fragrance similar to the smell of powder has appeared. This section of cedar wood is the main line, and the powder flavor is quite strong when you smoke it slowly.

Perfect draw, perfect burn, bold, spicy, creamy, cocoa and woody, hints of leather. Longer smoke time and a fair bit of strength. It’s just classic Padron. I’ve been working my way through various offerings and they are all good. This one is wonderful but definitely has some spice and kick. Not a bad thing at all.

I’ve been wanting to try this cigar for a long time now. Thanks to Oxford’s black friday I finally bit the bullet. I love torpedo shaped cigars but not a big fan of box press. This one visually really appeals to me, however I must say it is not as good as the 1926. Like other reviewer has said, it is harsher and rougher than the 1926. Earth flavours are very prominent and a powerbomb too. Reminds me slightly of the Cuban brand Cuaba. Still a great cigar tho!

You won’t find Padron’s cheaper than Oxford, especially with the premier discount. My favorite from the 1964 line, with notes of caramel, baking spice, a mocha. A winner!

I love the 64 Maduro series, and have tried most. This Torpedo isn’t my favorite of the batch, but it’s still really good. Be careful not to cut too much off of the cap, or the draw will be way too open for you. I get the most enjoyment out of a box-pressed torpedo shape when I’m working or mowing the grass and can hold it in my teeth for long periods of time without affecting the draw. The cocoa, chocolate, leather, and spice flavors abound.

A beautiful Padron cigar with flavor notes of black pepper, nuttiness, coffee and cocoa bean. A little bit harsh for a 1964; ergo the 3-Star rating.

Padron 1964 Anniversary Torpedo Natural, Great cigar but I think Padron has better cigars in their lineup that could have made COTY. The 1926 slightly preferred more; however these make great cigars. You will find the signature Padrón flavor: cocoa, coffee, chestnuts and toast with a hint of orange peel, leather and some spice on the finish. 1964 is a little more harsher than the 1926.
