I’ve only had the Connecticut so far and it was pretty damn tasty. Great morning stick with some coffee. Looking forward to trying the rest of the sticks in this 4 pack.

A friend of mine turned me on to Patina when he told me the Connecticut was the best he had ever smoked. I had to try one after a statement like tat, and while I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is the best Connecticut I’ve ever smoked, it is very very good, doubly so when you consider the price. Nutty, rich, with white pepper heat. There are floral components to be found, and as you smoke it many transitions arrive. Sometime a hint of caramel, sometimes some toast and vanilla. Very interesting and always satisfying to smoke.
The habano is solid. Spicier then the rest of the portfolio, lots of baking spices and even some cayenne to be found here. If you like Pete Johnsons Habano cigars, give this one a try.
The Maduro is nice, not too strong but still very flavorful. The Maduro process has added sweetness to the wrapper as a Maduro should, and its balanced well with a good amount of black pepper. Chocolate, dark coffee, roasted pecans.
I was very excited to try the new Sumatra, and it did not disappoint. Cinnamon and cloves, white and black pepper mix, rye seed and nutmeg. Everything worked on this one. Again it made me think of Petes stuff, namely his Capa Especial. I think the Connecticut is my favorite of the line, it really is exceptional, but the new Sumatra is a close second.
