Detailed Description
Marking a landmark in cigar history, the Serie V 135th Anniversary Edición Limitada honors the journey that began with Melanio Oliva’s first crop in Cuba. This celebratory perfecto encapsulates the Oliva family’s dedication to tobacco mastery—each cigar handrolled to excellence, with a signature Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper chosen for its rich hue and complex flavor profile.
Beneath the wrapper lies a robust ensemble of Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers, weaving layers of earthiness, subtle sweetness, and spice that build and transform as you smoke. A swirl of coffee grounds, dark chocolate, and toasted nuts emerges mid-smoke, rounded by woodsy oak, gentle malt, and mild pepper on the finish. Smoothness and complexity define each draw, even as the vitola itself commands attention with an artisan’s touch.
This exclusive edition arrives in pristine 12-count boxes—highly desirable for aficionados who cherish moments of cigar history. While some note a firmer draw compared to other Oliva shapes, the 135th’s rich, evolving palate and burn quality make each cigar a celebration of tradition, flavor, and legacy. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to own a piece of Oliva’s storied saga.

Relatively mild cigar, but if you like Oliva Serie V cigars, you’ll enjoy this cigar. Excellent construction and even burn with ample amounts of smoke.

I feel kind of ho hum bout these guys. I’ve had three of the figurados now, and they have all had a poor draw and a poor burn, and I feel like a fool for buying them when I know the robusto will smoke so much better. Even the regular Melanio Figurado seems to smoke great, but this vitola not so much. I’ll be sticking to the robusto from here on out.

Mild spices, chocolate, woody. One of the smoothest cigars I’ve ever had. Best vitola of this line hands down.

If you like the regular Serie V, you will love these; perhaps it is because of the unusual shape and ‘special’ status, but these seem s a more refined version of the regular Serie V, but with the same profile – it’s like the rollers took the top 20% of the tobaccos usually used in the Serie V, and used only them to roll these – smooth, no bite, and clear growth and transition from mild spices, to malted chocolate, to oak and tannins in the end – interesting and complex, and superb value.
