Named Cloud Hopper to celebrate the brothers’ shared passion for air travel and adventure, this blend challenges preconceptions about value-priced cigars. The reddish-brown Nicaragua Corojo ’99 wrapper, sourced from Aganorsa’s premium fields, exhibits a light oil sheen with minimal veining that promises the quality within. The innovative double binder system, combining Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’99, creates structural integrity while contributing layered complexity typically reserved for significantly more expensive offerings. Each cigar undergoes the same rigorous quality control as Warped’s premium lines at TABSA in EstelÃ, ensuring consistent construction and flavor delivery.
The flavor journey opens with immediate impact, delivering notes of dark chocolate, leather, and toasted bread accompanied by a distinctive floral sweetness that reviewers often describe as marshmallow-like. Oak and dried fruit emerge prominently in the first third, while molasses sweetness and vanilla cream notes develop through the middle portion. Black pepper provides measured spice on the retrohale without overwhelming the primary flavors, while coffee and cinnamon add depth throughout. The final third intensifies these core flavors while maintaining perfect balance, with earth and cocoa notes becoming more pronounced as the cigar reaches its satisfying conclusion.
Construction quality defies the modest price point, with most smokers reporting sharp burn lines, firm white ash, and generous smoke production that creates the “cloud chucking” experience referenced in the name. Draw resistance typically offers ideal airflow, though some report slightly tight draws that loosen perfectly after the first inch. The 45-75 minute smoking time provides substantial enjoyment, with the smaller ring gauge concentrating flavors while the moderate length ensures manageable sessions. Many enthusiasts report that these cigars improve significantly with additional aging, developing enhanced creaminess and deeper coffee notes after six months to a year of rest.

What makes the Cloud Hopper exceptional value?
Despite its budget-friendly positioning, this blend uses 100% premium Aganorsa tobacco with the same meticulous construction standards as Warped’s flagship lines. The double binder construction and carefully selected Corojo ’99 wrapper deliver complexity typically found in cigars costing twice as much, making it an unbeatable daily smoke option.
How does Edition One differ from the main Warped brand?
Edition One represents Kyle Gellis’s collaboration with his brother Devin, focused on creating accessible luxury without compromising quality. While maintaining Warped’s commitment to Aganorsa tobacco and TABSA production, Edition One specifically targets value-conscious smokers seeking boutique quality at everyday prices.
Which size offers the better smoking experience?
The No. 53 corona provides more concentrated flavors with its 42 ring gauge, emphasizing the wrapper’s contribution and delivering a slightly more intense experience. The No. 485 robusto offers a creamier, more balanced smoke with easier draw characteristics, making it ideal for those preferring fuller smoke production.
What flavors dominate throughout the smoke?
Expect immediate dark chocolate and leather, progressing through oak, dried fruit, and molasses sweetness. Vanilla cream and that distinctive marshmallow-like floral sweetness appear consistently, while coffee, cinnamon, and earth notes build through the final third, maintaining the characteristic Aganorsa sweetness throughout.
Does this age well despite the lower price point?
Remarkably yes. Many enthusiasts report significant improvement after 6-12 months of additional rest, with enhanced creaminess and deeper coffee notes developing. The quality Aganorsa tobacco responds excellently to aging, making box purchases particularly worthwhile for those with patience.
Is this suitable as a daily smoke?
Absolutely. The combination of approachable price, consistent quality, and satisfying complexity makes Cloud Hopper ideal for regular rotation. The 50-count cabinet format encourages bulk purchasing, while the flavor profile remains interesting enough to avoid palate fatigue even with frequent enjoyment.
How does the double binder affect the smoking experience?
The innovative Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’99 double binder creates exceptional structural integrity while adding complexity layers. This construction technique ensures consistent burn and draw while contributing distinct flavor notes from each tobacco variety, elevating the overall profile beyond typical single-binder constructions.
What inspired the Cloud Hopper name?
Kyle and Devin Gellis named this blend to celebrate their shared love of air travel and adventure, with “Cloud Hopper” referencing both the generous smoke production and the brothers’ frequent travels throughout the cigar industry. The name perfectly captures the blend’s ability to transport smokers while remaining grounded in everyday accessibility.

Warped Cloud Hopper Edition One, honestly, they’re my go-to when I want something reliable without breaking the bank. Lights up no problem, burns dead even, and the draw is always spot on. Hits you first with a nice pepper buzz that chills out quick into this creamy wave, think sweet tobacco, graham cracker vibes, cocoa, some cedar and oak, with a little earth and nuts hanging around. Medium kick, never gets harsh, just super enjoyable from start to finish. Solid everyday smoker, always keep some around.

Unmistakably Aganorsa, and that’s a great thing. Both the 53 and the 48 are fantastic smokes, especially for the price. I think after smoking a handful of each, I slightly prefer the 48 size but I have both sizes stocked in my humidor. They also age incredibly well. I have a couple from the very first release and they have continued to improve.
Nice balanced notes of earth, coffee and an interesting sweetness that sometimes reminds me of marshmallows

Fire cigar! Flavors hit right from light up on this one. Dark chocolate, leather, toast and cinnamon. Get a bit of a floral sweetness too. Definitely hits above its price.

This was my first warped cigar that I’ve tried. I was very impressed with the flavor from this. There was spice, nuts, cream, molasses and others. My only negative was the draw was slightly tight. I enjoy smaller ring cigars and the no.53 was right in my wheelhouse. I’m looking forward to trying other warped offerings as this was incredibly delicious.

The Cloud Hopper lines from Warped never disappoint. The Warped family of cigars is always a quality line, their pricing sits on the upper end of their value for certain lines. Some are definitely not my preference as compared to their other offerings. I think their more affordable cigars have more value than their high end line. As someone who typically prefers a Maduro or a Medium Leaf, I am shocked how much I enjoy this. This is my preferred line in Warped. Light, cedary, and well rolled cigar that has good body to it. White pepper and pale cookie notes are present through the smoke. You’ll catch yourself smoking this for the 45 minutes to 1.25 Hour mark. Probably too expensive for a daily smoke, but a great weekly smoker or a gift for a new smoker.

I really don’t think you can beat these things for the price. Upon light up I get floral notes and from there all out it’s pure molasses, cream, and almonds. It has that normal warped twang… you know what I’m talking about if you smoke warped consistently. This will definitely be my next box purchase.

Wow, what a complex cigar! Medium full, great construction, and as always an amazing price from Oxford. Easily a 15 dollar stick.

There is something about this cigar that doesn’t feel right… the price! You would be mistaken to think it is a budget offering but there is nothing cheap about this smoke beside the cost. I’m enjoying one as I write this and it amazes me with it’s flavor and draw. Retro is super smooth, just an all around pleasant smoke worthy of nubbing every time.
There are themed days in cigar communities with Warped Wednesdays being a thing but with smokes like this why not make Warped Weekly a thing, truly a daily driver here!

You cannot go wrong with this cigar especially at the seven dollar price point. A Nicaraguan puro you get some complexity and great flavor out of it. The quality / construction are there as I’d expect from a Warped product. Definitely a must try
