The reddish-brown Corojo wrapper immediately catches your eye with its velvety texture and natural oil sheen. This particular leaf, cultivated exclusively by the Garcia family in their seven-acre industrial complex, brings a distinctive character that sets this release apart from previous 7th series offerings. The construction showcases the meticulous attention that has made My Father Cigars one of Nicaragua’s most respected operations, with invisible seams and a perfectly applied triple cap.
Upon lighting, the Tatuaje 7th Corojo reveals its sophisticated personality through layers of toasted nuts, black pepper, and sweet spices that dance across the palate. The smoke progresses beautifully, introducing notes of leather, aged wood, dark chocolate, and subtle dark fruit sweetness. The retrohale delivers a pleasant combination of white pepper and cocoa nibs, while the creamy smoke texture maintains remarkable consistency throughout the experience. Each third builds upon the previous, creating a journey that exemplifies Pete Johnson’s mastery of Cuban-style blending techniques.
The Garcia family’s expertise shines through every aspect of this cigar. Their Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper, grown at the family’s industrial park alongside their processing facilities and box factory, represents generations of tobacco cultivation knowledge passed down from Cuba. Combined with the double binder technique and carefully selected Nicaraguan fillers, this blend achieves the perfect harmony between strength and refinement that Tatuaje collectors have come to expect.

Wow, I’m blown away by this cigar and its counterpart the MSA tuxla. For a $9.50 MSRP, these cigars are so great!
Either my expectations have lowered on cigars this price, or this is just damn great! One of my favorite cigars in the price range.
