This cigar lives up to the name with seven different tobacco varietals making up this long perfecto. The blend is definitely complex and features several familiar tobaccos with the uncommon Sancti Spiritus leaf from Nicaragua. A little bit of everything in this one. Dominant flavors of caramel, chocolate, coffee, cedar, spice undulate throughout the burn. If you want to try something different, reach for a 7th Sam and enjoy the ride!

Incredibly rich and full, but also very smooth. Not nearly as strong as something from Pete would lead me to expect, especially with the very oily wrapper. I already ordered more, fantastic stick. I’ve smoked through a lot of the surrogates line, and this is my favorite so far. The burn was immaculate, which isn’t easy to achieve with this vitola, and the draw was superb. Apparently they use 7 different tobaccos in this blend, so again it is even more impressive to be able to make this burn and draw so well, and to balance the flavors of all those ingredients to creat a fantastic tasting cigar is something very few makers could pull off. The flavors start with black pepper, but not overly strong. Following that I get some dark cherry sweetness, which I find in a lot of cigars that use Connecticut broadleaf. At the halfway point I find some earth and leather, a little citrus on the finish. No one flavor dominates any of the others, everything is in balance. Into the final third the nicotine comes up a bit, bringing the cigar to medium full, and as I get to the nub the pepper moves up in the profile just a little.
