I don’t know a lot about the backstory of the Attic Series but the previous (initial) releases of the Black and White series were very good smokes, well constructed but didn’t wow my palate. There was a lot of press before the PCA show about West Tampa and the return of former blender and brand ambassador for the CAO brand, Rick Rodriguez. I smoked both and enjoyed them but was hoping he’d make something more up my alley. This one did just that. Wow. Lots of cocoa and deep leather notes. The attractive, toothy dark brown Mexican San Andrés wrapper covers fillers from Condega and Estelí. The flavors noted above were found throughout the cigar, with some Nicaraguan spice popping up here and there along the way. Delicious smoke. I can’t wait for the other Attic Series cigars to drop later this year. Definitely one I’d smoke again.

Medium to full body with notes of coco, pepper, raisins and leather. Nicotine hit was full. My draw was a bit tight but nothing unmanageable. I would recommend to someone who has been smoking awhile. Overall, great stick!!

Very pleasant start to this with a mix of black pepper, cherry syrup, oak, clove and vanilla. There’s also something in here that makes me think of Chinese food, but for the life of me I can’t put my finger on it. The flavors are very rich, the body is full, and the strength is medium. Tons of flavor continues to come through into the half, the oak and cherry leading the way. As I get towards the final third the pepper profile gets just a little cayenne added to it, leaving a pleasant tingle on the finish. Whatever that Chinese spice I was getting in the biginning has died away completely, and it gets a little chocolatey towards the nub. Very nice stuff.
The construction is excellent. Beautiful burn, perfect draw, just all together put together expertly. Nice firm pack evenly dispersed and tons of smoke output. Smoke time of one hour thirty five minutes. I’m sure I could have made it last longer but I kept going back for more.
This was outstanding, especially for the price point. The black and white were decent smokes in their own right but this blows either of them out of the water. Box worthy all day, it sucks that this was a limited production. Smoke it if you find it.

This cigar was good. It is made with good quality tobacco but nothing excitable about it. This blend features a dark Mexican San Andres wrapper over binder and filler from Nicaragua. Medium to full in strength. It being a MSA wrapper you can expect notes of leather, spicy earth, cocoa, and dark chocolate. And those are the flavors you get from it.
