JRE Tobacco recently completed a productive visit to Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Aladino’s second and third generation leaders, Justo Eiroa and his daughter, Vivian Eiroa visit to Malaysia, coordinated by Mighty Milestone Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Asiaeuro Wines & Spirits, featured a series of cigar-focused meet-and-greet events at prominent venues, including Cohiba Atmosphere Kuala Lumpur, Vitolas Ampang, and the Asiaeuro Ipoh office.
These events brought together cigar enthusiasts, industry stakeholders, and key partners, fostering deeper connections and promoting JRE’s exceptional cigar offerings.
As part of the visit, JRE Tobacco representatives attended the prestigious Asiaeuro 25th Anniversary Annual Dinner, a milestone celebration of Asiaeuro’s achievements in the luxury wine and spirits sector. This event provided an excellent platform for JRE Tobacco to engage with Mr. Jonathan Chow, Mr. Her Soon Seng, and Mr. Toh Sek Piew, the founders of Asiaeuro and emphasize the synergy between premium cigars and Asiaeuro’s wine and spirits portfolio.
In Hong Kong, TimeCigar hosted three exclusive tasting events, providing a platform for Justo and Vivian to engage in meaningful discussions with Aladino enthusiasts in the region.
The inaugural tasting was held at the prestigious Whale Club in Central, followed by a grand event at the live band cigar lounge, Oak 22, also located in Central. The final gathering was a collaboration with the private cigar group, Savour House, which offered a bespoke tasting experience tailored for its members.
During these tastings, which attracted close to 100 aficionados, two of Aladino’s iconic offerings—the Aladino Corojo Robusto and the Aladino Cameroon Robusto—captivated attendees with their exceptional quality and distinctive flavors.
“The Asian market has great enthusiasm in its cigar culture – which we saw, first and foremost in our local partners, the cigar community and the next level lounges,” said Justo Eiroa. “Although it has been predominantly dominated by Cuban cigars, the market presents a good opportunity for us because Aladino’s taste profile is very similar to the flavors these smokers are used to. It also helps that we’ve created a brand that is approachable to novices and long-time smokers.”
