Top 25 New Cigars in 2025: The Countdown Begins Shortly

We are taking the New Year as an opportunity to select those outstanding cigars that have remained in our memory. From January 26, 2026 we will publish our Top 25 New Cigars of 2025.

It is not for no reason that we call this ranking Top New Cigars 2025, because: The cigars selected were those that were first released less than two years ago.

Each year, our tasting panel members review hundreds of cigars in order to give you the results of these blind tastings with the most objective impressions possible through our ratings. We now have 90 people on our blind-tasting panel. For each issue they test 60 cigars. We are very precise when we evaluate these assessments – the average value results in the respective rating and thus the ranking.

With the Top 25 New Cigars, it’s a little different. We select cigars whose initial release – as mentioned above – is no more than two years earlier and which have received more than 90 points. From this list, the editorial team selects their own personal favorites – not “blindly,” as must be the case in tasting, but deliberately according to their own preferences.
