Ten years after the introduction of Davidoff Yamasá, Davidoff Cigars unveils its latest creation: the Davidoff Puro Dominicano. This new line is offered in the three formats Short Robusto, Corona Larga and Perfecto. The blend is composed of well-aged tobaccos from six Dominican terroirs with a combined age of 32 years.
Inspired by the Dominican amber gemstone, a rare jewel sourced from deep below and shaped into a warm, glowing masterpiece, the Puro Dominicano cigar is composed of predominantly higher-grade tobaccos from six different Dominican terroirs. Blended and shaped by Davidoff’s Master Blenders, the result is a full-bodied Dominican puro.
Davidoff Puro Dominicano pays tribute to its Dominican origin not only through its blend but also through one of its formats. The Corona Larga with its 44-ring gauge (1.8 cm diameter) symbolises 1844 – the year of the Dominican Republic’s independence. This format is unique within the Davidoff portfolio. The new line is presented in a black wooden cabinet box containing twelve cigars of the same format, accented with a yellow line inspired by Dominican amber, or alternatively in a pack of five of the same format. This colour detail is also reflected on the cigars’ rings.
The Davidoff Puro Dominicano will be available as of 23 April 2026. Participants at the Premium Cigar Association trade show from 17 to 20 April 2026 in New Orleans will have the opportunity to preview the new line.
