Perdomo Cigars Launches Perdomo Legacy Father & Son

Perdomo Cigars announces Perdomo Legacy Father & Son, a personal extension of the Perdomo Legacy line that brings together two generations of blending expertise in a collaborative project.

At the heart of Perdomo Legacy Father & Son is Nicaraguan Shade Grown tobacco, a varietal pioneered by Nick Perdomo. This release marks the first time Nick Perdomo has created a blend centered around his Nicaraguan Shade Grown tobacco within the Perdomo Legacy brand line.

Nicholas Perdomo III, Fourth Generation Cigar Maker, states: “It was incredibly important to me that my dad shares his Nicaraguan Shade Grown blend as part of this project. He was the visionary who created this special tobacco and having it as the foundation of Perdomo Legacy Father & Son makes this collaboration truly meaningful. Being able to build upon something he created—and that represents so much of our family’s innovation—is an honor.”

Expanding the collection, Nicholas Perdomo III crafted a Maduro blend, showcasing his own blending style. Completing the trio, father and son worked side by side to create the Connecticut blend. Both the Maduro and Connecticut blends also feature Nicaraguan Shade Grown tobaccos.

Nick Perdomo, President & CEO, adds: “Working together with my son on these incredible and unique blends has been a truly rewarding experience. Perdomo Legacy Father & Son reflects our shared passion for tobacco, our respect for our customers, and our commitment to quality. Seeing the next generation bring their vision to life makes the future of Perdomo Cigars extremely exciting.”

Each cigar in the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son series is crafted using 10–15-year aged tobaccos from rare tobacco lots, harvested between 2011 and 2016. These filler tobaccos were sourced exclusively from Perdomo’s famed farms in Condega, Jalapa, and Estelí.

Perdomo Legacy Father & Son cigars will be presented in 50-count chests, handcrafted in the Perdomo box factory. This cigar will be featured in a 6 x 48 x 60 x 52 Gran Figurado size. Each cigar will retail for US$ 15 per cigar.

Nicholas Perdomo III: “For the regular production Perdomo Legacy line, I used the highest priming’s (darker in color, more Habano influence with Cameroon sweetness and spice on the back of the palate). My dad made his Nicaraguan Shade Grown blend using slightly lower priming’s (medium in color, slightly oilier and toothier, looks very similar in color to the original Cameroon wrapper while having more Cameroon sweetness and spice overall with the Habano flavors on the finish).

Perdomo will be taking orders at the PCA, as they are looking at a 4th quarter national release.

The brand will be sold (limited quantities) at Two Guys Cigars on May 20-23 at the One Year Perdomo Legacy Anniversary Launch events.
