I saw these on clearance and figured I’d give them a shot. I’ve only had one so far and it was just OK. I could taste musty earth notes like leather, espresso, cocoa, and pepper but they were muted. Seeing how dark the cello was I assume these have been sitting a while which would explain that. It was still a good cigar but I think it would have been better without the age.

Liked this a lot. The only other 601 I’ve tried is the black and I love that so I wanted to try this. This gave me a lot of flavor up front. Getting blk coffee, leather and dark chocolate. There is a touch of crushed red pepper as well to round it out. You could tell there was some age on this as the cello had some of the yellowing going on that made this extra delicious. Needless to say I was very impressed with this as I had low expectations on this but it was really good. Construction was spot on with this stick so it earned 5 stars for me. Incredible price as always!

No it a bad cigar for the price. It’s a little rough around the edges, but it has a decent flavor profile and it performed well. Lots of spice and generic chocolate, coffee, and damp earth. I wouldn’t feel begrudged to smoke another but it’s nothing worth chasing, and I would not give it to a newer smoker or someone who doesn’t like aggressive cigars.
