Louisiana Cigar Tax Cap Bill Gets Amended, Clears Committee

Yesterday, H.B. 325 cleared a committee but the amended text means the bill will only be in place for 2027-2028. If passed, it would change the tax rate on most premium cigars from 20 percent of the wholesale price to a flat 50 cent tax.
