What makes Casdagli unique among luxury cigar brands?
Casdagli combines centuries of family heritage in luxury trade with modern boutique craftsmanship. Jeremy Casdagli’s ancestors bred Arabian horses and built Mediterranean trading empires, infusing each blend with historical significance. Production at exclusive Costa Rican boutique factories using rare high-altitude tobaccos creates profiles unavailable elsewhere.
Which Casdagli lines should anchor my first sampler?
Start with the Traditional Line for classic elegance, add Daughters of the Wind for full-bodied complexity honoring Arabian heritage, include Club Mareva for Hendrik Kelner Jr.’s masterful blending, and explore Villa Casdagli for exclusive Costa Rican mejorado blends. This selection showcases Casdagli’s range comprehensively.
What distinguishes the Daughters of the Wind from other lines?
Named after a 6th-century Arabian poem celebrating Bedouin horses, this full-bodied line honors the Casdagli family’s horse-breeding legacy at their Sheykh Obeyd stables. The Ecuadorian wrapper with Peruvian and Nicaraguan fillers creates sweet and spicy notes reflecting the strength, elegance, and refinement of Arabian horses.
How does production at IGM affect cigar character?
IGM’s location at 3,000 feet elevation in Santa Marta de Puriscal creates unique growing conditions. Cuban agricultural engineer Jose Gonzalez Ferrer develops proprietary tobaccos exclusively for Casdagli, resulting in rare flavor profiles. The family-run boutique factory’s small-batch production ensures exceptional quality control.
What makes the Villa Casdagli special edition noteworthy?
Villa Casdagli features special mejorado blends created at Tabacos de Costa Rica with three years of aging. The Ecuador wrapper and multi-national filler including extra Nicaraguan tobacco creates rich complexity. Originally inspired by the family’s Mediterranean villa, it represents luxury living through tobacco.
Is the Club Mareva worth including despite wider availability?
Absolutely. Created with Hendrik Kelner Jr. at the prestigious Kelner Boutique Factory, Club Mareva showcases Dominican excellence with Brazilian wrapper. Its connection to the Cigar Smoking World Championship and Kelner’s Davidoff-level expertise makes it essential for understanding Casdagli’s collaborative approach.
How many cigars make an ideal Casdagli sampler?
Consider 5-7 selections for comprehensive exploration. Include 2-3 different wrapper types, representation from both Costa Rican factories, at least one limited edition, and varied strength levels. This approach reveals Casdagli’s range while discovering personal preferences within their luxury portfolio.
What role does family heritage play in blend creation?
Every Casdagli line connects to family history, from Arabian horse breeding inspiring Daughters of the Wind to Mediterranean trading heritage influencing Villa Casdagli. The family crest featuring the Colossus of Rhodes appears on bands, while blend names reference historical family achievements, creating cigars that function as luxury artifacts.

Wish I would have come across a pick-and-choose discount sampler like this when I first met Casdagli Blends. Of course I wish there was more variety to choose from, but now I am complaining! 😜 nice Oxford!

Through this Casdagli sampler this is the best price I have seen on the Casdagli Traditional Anniversary 25 and Casdagli Cypher 3311 Robusto. Actually for each cigar in this sampler but the these two are the ones I am really excited to smoke.
The Casdagli sampler allows one to enjoy a number of Casdagli blends at great prices.
