Experience the authentic taste of Nicaraguan craftsmanship with the Curivari Buenaventura Favoritos Natural, a premium cigar that showcases the rich terroir of Nicaragua’s renowned tobacco-growing regions. This expertly crafted smoke represents exceptional value in today’s premium cigar market, delivering complex flavors and superior construction at an accessible price point.
Exceptional Nicaraguan Construction
The Curivari Buenaventura Favoritos Natural features a carefully selected Nicaraguan Habano wrapper sourced from the prestigious Jalapa region. This golden-brown wrapper leaf is complemented by a robust Nicaraguan binder and meticulously blended Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, creating a harmonious puro that celebrates Nicaragua’s tobacco heritage. Every cigar is handrolled at the respected Tabacalera de Nicaragua S.A. factory, ensuring consistent quality and traditional craftsmanship.
Rich Flavor Profile
The Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper delivers a sophisticated flavor journey that begins with aged, toasted cedar and earthy undertones. As you progress through the smoke, you’ll encounter layers of complexity, including:
- Initial Third: Toasted cedar, black pepper, and earth with hints of baking spice
- Middle Third: Fuller cedar notes with developing mustiness and maintained pepper balance
- Final Third: Enhanced toast levels with emerging walnut nuttiness and sustained earthiness
The flavor profile showcases the natural sweetness and earthy characteristics typical of Jalapa-grown tobacco, while retrohales reveal pleasant white pepper sensations and spice complexity. Notes of honey, toasted wood, leather, and subtle chocolate undertones create a well-rounded smoking experience.
Strength and Body
This medium-strength cigar offers excellent balance, providing satisfying nicotine delivery without overwhelming the palate. The medium body allows the wrapper’s natural flavors to shine through while maintaining approachable characteristics suitable for both novice and experienced smokers.
Construction and Performance
The Curivari Buenaventura Favoritos Natural demonstrates exceptional construction quality with consistent burn characteristics and reliable draw performance. The cigars feature a traditional triple cap finish and maintain structural integrity throughout the smoking experience. Most reviewers praise the outstanding combustion and minimal touch-up requirements.
Available Vitolas
The Natural line offers two carefully sized options:
- Favoritos 56 Natural: 5″ x 56 ring gauge (Robusto Extra)
- Favoritos 60 Natural: 6″ x 60 ring gauge (Gordo)
Both sizes are packaged with distinctive red secondary bands that distinguish them from the Connecticut (yellow) and Maduro (blue) variants in the Favoritos collection.
Distinctive Packaging
The Natural blend features red packaging elements that set it apart from other Favoritos varieties. Each cigar displays the traditional Curivari primary band along with a red secondary band that peeks out from underneath, creating an elegant visual identifier. The cigars come packaged in boxes of 20 with matching red accents.
Exceptional Value
In an era of increasingly expensive premium cigars, the Curivari Buenaventura Favoritos Natural stands out as an exceptional value proposition. Love Curivari and their offerings! This was my second favorite from the Favoritos line (yellow Conn being the first)! Has the familiar habano woody and spicy notes, but I think it’ll taste even better with age as most of the Curivari sticks I’ve tried.

This is a nice counterbalance to the CT. Great construction and burn. It reminds me of a more traditional New World Habano. My guess is it will develop more over the next 6 months.

I’ve always been a fan of Curivari, this is no exception. There are flavors of leather and a nice Habano spice that continues through the entire smoking experience. If you’re looking for a smoke to enjoy everyday this is one to add to your line up.
