The lancero was a vitola that was first rolled at the El Laguito factory in Havana, Cuba, in the 1960s with the creation of the Cohiba brand, and soon thereafter became known as the Laguito No. 1 throughout cigar factories in Cuba. Today, the lancero re- gains a reputation among cigar enthusiasts as one of the most elegant vitolas. “We’re extremely ex- cited to bring the Capa Especial Lancero to market,” commented Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber. “The lancero is such a storied vitola and it’s been absent from our portfolio for over 4 years; it’s an exquisite expression of the Four Kicks Capa Especial blend.”
Originally introduced in the Spring of 2020, Four Kicks Capa Especial has garnered not only a global following but numerous industry accolades, as well. The Four Kicks Capa Especial Robusto was included among Cigar Aficionado magazine’s list of “The Top 25 Cigars of 2020.”
The Four Kicks Capa Especial Lancero (7 1/2” x 38) will be packaged in 12-count boxes, with a total production limited to 2,500 boxes (30,000 total cigars). Manufactured at Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A., in Santiago, Dominican Republic, under the supervision of cigar industry icon, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, the Four Kicks Capa Especial Lancero LE 2022 will begin shipping in October.

The Sumatran wrapper really changed this edition compared to previous editions. Earthy cinnamon with almost floral notes. Overall a good stick (I’m also a sucker for a good Lancero)
