Lampert 1675 Edición Rojo
Lampert 1675 Edición Rojo is a medium-bodied, full-flavored cigar crafted to deliver a complex and refined experience. Rolled at AgroIndustrial Nicaraguense de Tabacos S.A. in Nicaragua, it features a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and four-year-aged fillers from the Condega and Jalapa valleys. Each cigar is meticulously constructed for an even burn and an effortless draw, highlighting Lampert’s tradition of blending sophistication.
The flavor journey begins with creamy oak and cashew in the early draws, accompanied by delicate notes of hay, toast, and a subtle honey-malt sweetness on the retrohale. Progressing into the second third, you’ll discover hints of floral accents, nutmeg, brown sugar, and cacao, lending depth and a touch of warmth. In the final third, notes of pepper, earth, flour, and sandalwood come forward, with a mildly peppery finish and occasional notes of dried apricot and buttery suede for added intrigue. The experience remains smooth and sophisticated throughout, never overpowering, making this blend ideal for aficionados who appreciate balanced complexity over blunt strength.
Suitable for any time of day, Lampert 1675 Edición Rojo pairs well with coffee, light bourbon, or scotch and excels as a thoughtful companion to celebratory moments as well as reflective solitude.

I was turned on to Lampert from one of the earlier Oxford auctions, picking up a box of the Azul (blue) series. I usually go for more medium to full-bodied cigars but was so impressed with the first Lampert outing that I thought let’s give the connie a shot. Such a well constructed smoke, even, sharp burn. Lots of creamy smoke. There are toasted wheat bread, almond, and dry oak (like fresh split firewood) notes. I prefer the Azul over this one, but for those of you who are Connecticut fans, definitely give this a try, especially at this price point.

Solid smoke. I prefer the Azul over the Rojo but I’ll still be keeping a few of these in the humi. Haven’t been let down by Lampert yet.

This was a nice cigar. It seemed to be a little underpacked,
