The limited-edition Padron 1926 80 Years Anniversary Maduro cigars were created in celebration of José O. Padron’s 80th birthday. Each band has a unique serial number on it so you can be assured the cigar is part of this special series. These dark Maduro-wrapped premium cigars are enjoyably full in body, and super-spicy with smooth, toasty, with mellow notes of espresso and caramel. Rated 93 points by Cigar Aficionado magazine.

Perfect construction and an impressive figurado; the 1926 No 80 Maduro is clearly made by the top artisans that Padron has on staff. A little bit extra in terms of complexity and depth, with classic Padron maduro notes of baking chocolate, dark roasted coffee and sweet earth. All of those wonderful things said, this is a very expensive cigar (you won’t find it at a better price than Oxford) and one could debate if it’s worth the premium compared to other maduros in the 1926 line. For me, the No 90 is equal pegging, and a bit cheaper, as are several of the Padron family reserves. I save my 80’s for Very Special occasions!

Rarely are cigars worth the money these days. Especially more expensive ones. This one is worth it. It’s a treat. Chocolate, coffee, molasss sweetness and pepper. Perfect burn and perfectly good time.

These are a bold flavoured, full bodied stick of smooth dynamite! Pepper where it should be, sweetness ti keep it in check and the usual, impeccable burn and draw you’d expect from Padron.

What can I say. The limited edition Padrons really elevate over 99% of cigars. While the 46 year family reserve Maduro is my favorite, this cigar is an absolute hitter. Starts off with a blast of pepper but mellows out to reveal notes of coco, dark roasted coffee and spice. Pricey but you see why after you smoke it. Padron never disappoints. 9.4/10

An impressive double-tapered, box-pressed figurado with flavor notes of earth, cocoa, cedar, leather and coffee. The strentgh is definitely medium-full.

Padron 1926 80 Years Maduro, I find the 1926 90 Maduro better as I find the 1926 90 smoother and more well-rounded. Still expect to find the signature Padrón flavor: cocoa, coffee, chestnuts and toast with a hint of orange peel, leather and some spice on the finish with the addition that the tobaccos is aged for at least 5 years.
