Detailed Description
Sobremesa Brûlée is Steve Saka’s rich tribute to the classic Connecticut tradition—a smoke that is both nostalgic and thoroughly modern. The Ecuador Connecticut Shade wrapper offers a silky, golden patina and is specially aged for lush butterscotch and caramel overtones. Underneath, a rare Mexican Matacapan negro de temporal binder and hand-selected Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí, Condega, and Pueblo Nuevo impart sophisticated depth.
This blend opens with lushly creamy notes of peanut butter, caramel, and butterscotch, soon unfolding into layers of cedar, vanilla, and milk chocolate. Midway, you’ll notice an evolution of golden honey, cinnamon, and roasted nuts, with the session finishing in gentle white pepper and subtle sweetness. Every cigar is meticulously constructed—triple-capped, perfectly burning, and always smooth—making it a true joy to handle and enjoy. Ideal for both newcomers and devotees, the Brûlée line stands as one of the finest Connecticut-wrapped cigars available.

This is a good one for the sweetness. I’m stoked to try the other two Sobremesa Brulee. I will be returning to this cigar again later, to compare it with the others.

If you want something on the milder sweet side I would recommend these. Takes about 1-1.5 hours to finish with a good draw and burn. Perfect for any time of the day.

I love Connecticut shade cigars so I was super excited to try this. This definitely did not disappoint as the flavors were spot on and front and center. There was cream, toasted almonds, cedar. Just a plethora of flavors. I know Dunbarton is known for their full flavor stuff but this was excellent. At light up it almost seemed like a sweetened cap, which I didn’t mind but it was really an enjoyable Connecticut. The draw on this was perfect as well as the burn. Construction was A+. Will look to add more to humidor as this is one of the best Connecticuts I’ve ever had. Another winner from DTT!

Sobremesa Brulee Toro, This is the best Connecticut Shade cigar I had along with the Sobremesa Brulee Blue. It is a very nice and smooth medium smoke for a casual moment. It has a bit of a vanilla and grass note o the finish. I am sure it would pair nicely with a cup of coffee.

It’s an interesting cigar. The sweetness on the tip makes you think it’s a sweetened tip but it isn’t. Overall it’s a good Connecticut shade cigar but it’s quite pricy. I would preferred Liga undercrown Connecticut over this and that was cheaper too.
