A combination of Bright and Red Virginia leaf with the most select St. James Parish Perique pipe tobacco added to a medium-bodied Nicaraguan puro.
This liga begins the mildest of all, but the Perique really kicks up in the end with a spicy finish. It rewards the smoker with that classic “VaPer” combination of zest and umami that is entrancing for the discerning palate.

By the end, this is definitely the strongest and spiciest of the Stillwell Stars. I liked it, but not as much as the Aromatic or the Navy. I’ve got a few more that I think I’ll let age a few years. I’ve fun to pull one out and see what happens.

I wanted to give this one a try since Oxford still had a few in stock, but it’s not one I would come back to. I prefer the Holiday blends in the Stillwell Star for sure. Glad I tried it but just wasn’t for me.

I am really enjoying the pipe tobacco Steve Saka is putting into the StillWell lineup. This cigar definitely delivered in terms of complexity. There was little doubt of the fact that I was puffing on pipe tobacco in this cigar. The tasting notes I am getting are earthy spices, grass, fruity note like fig blended with citrus, wood. A large part is a smoky flavor from the pipe tobacco.
