International Women’s Day at Bertie Cigar Lounge is now becoming a well-established celebration; and this year again it’s been a glamorous party more than a mere event!
The start of the evening was reserved to ladies; seasoned passionadas mingled with enthusiastic beginners, all enjoying the Flor de Selva Colección Clásica Egoísta or Robusto, Colección No.20 Petit-Corona & Robusto Maduro, as well as the Flor de Selva Año del Dragón Limited Edition.
This year, Bertie Cigar Lounge partnered with The Beauty Room, Hong Kong’s newest beauty salon, who generously contributed to the eagerly-awaited lucky draw. A celebratory cigar band was created especially for the event by other sponsor Calamansi Designs. The band included a hidden number on the inside which was used for the lucky draw in front of a full house… a lively moment.
Eric Piras said “In Bertie, we’re building a strong following of ladies; we strive to provide a safe place where women are welcome and at ease when they want to enjoy a cigar. Reversely, men should be proud of having a facial; I know I absolutely love going to The Beauty Room!”
Elya Majchrzak, owner of the The Beauty Room, said “It’s not the first time I smoke a cigar but my Flor de Selva Egoísta was especially enjoyable… perhaps because I didn’t share it with my husband for once!” Agnès Caër-Piras from Calamansi Designs, a regular cigar smoker, said “It’s a real pleasure enjoying a cigar with these fantastic ladies; no competition, just the fun of having Bertie all to ourselves for an evening!”
Not a minute later than their “allowed” time, men came in and Bertie was buzzing with chatter and laughter, while guests made the most of the good Flor de Selva smoke, Joseph Drouhin wines, Rathfinny sparkling rosé and Domaine des Campaux Osé Rosé wine .
Agendas are already marked for 8th of March next year!
