Habanos World Days London

The first in person Habanos World Days to be held outside Cuba drew to a close on Saturday 22nd June with a spectacular gala dinner at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Hosted in the Rafael Court, surrounded by a set of seven full-scale designs for tapestry painted by Raphael, diners also participated in a charity auction that raised €5,150,000 for the Cuban health system.

Habanos World Days began on Thursday 20th June with a Cocktail Party in Belgrave Square. Live Cuban music, bespoke cocktails, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, canapés and the reintroduction of the Trinidad Robusto Extra all ensured a wonderful start to proceedings.

Friday 21st played host to a Seminar & Exhibition Day, with a panel of experts gathered from around the world to discuss ‘Trinidad: Past &Present’ before showcasing a collection of some of the rarest Trinidad cigars ever produced, including a humidor signed by Fidel Castro. There was also time to enjoy the magnificent Perfect Pairing, presented by Robert Tomko and Antonios Giannousakis, two masters of Havana Cigars who work together at Birley Cigars.

The day was followed by 55 Trinidad tastings across all four parts of the United Kingdom. A truly national event.

Over twelve-hundred people joined in the 55 events, surely making it among the largest cigar tastings to ever take place.

Finally, the Gala Dinner on Saturday 22nd concluded a remarkable three days with a touch of elegance and glamour.

It was here that the Trinidad Cabildos, a 2024 Edición Limitada, was launched in the extremely rare Premier Pack. Just 10,000 numbered packs have been made and, as each one contains 5 Cabildos, only 50,000 cigars have been produced.
