Davidoff Unveils Winston Churchill 2025 Edition & New Humidors

Davidoff Cigars re-promotes its popular Winston Churchill «The Original Series» with the release of a limited-edition churchill cigar and two humidors. Supporting the brand’s “Complex man, complex blends” campaign, the new products are inspired by one of the many facets of Winston Churchill’s character – the Artist.

Paintbrush in one hand, cigar in the other: Creating art was one of Winston Churchill’s greatest passions and a way to unwind from the rigours of leading an empire. As an accomplished painter, he knew the importance of a well-balanced mixture of colours – changing the proportions would produce a completely different end result. The same also applies to blending tobacco: The Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2025 is the fifth limited edition of «The Original Series». It is blended with the same tobaccos from various origins as the popular line but in different proportions, thus creating a new taste sensation that passionados can enjoy in the impressive churchill format – the largest cigar in the Winston Churchill Limited Edition range to date.

Art-inspired packaging design 

Sir Winston Churchill’s art has not only influenced the cigar’s blending process, but also its eye- catching presentation. “Thanks to our long-standing partnership with the Churchill family, they have generously allowed us to feature Winston Churchill’s famous painting ‘Cork Trees Near Mimizan’ inside our wooden box’s lid and on a second ring on the cigars. With the cigar being a churchill, Sir Winston’s favourite format, this release is arguably the most personal of the Winston Churchill Limited Editions to date, and therefore a true collector’s item”, says Edward Simon, CMO at Oettinger Davidoff.

Two new Winston Churchill Humidors inspired by the Artist
Alongside the new cigar, Davidoff launches two handmade wooden humidors with a unique design, inspired by Churchill’s artistic talents. As a subtle homage to Churchill’s passion for painting, the lid – prominently showing his silhouette in vibrant hues – is designed to resemble the effect of brushstrokes. While the smaller primos humidor for 25 to 35 cigars shows the yellow silhouette on a dark grey background, the larger ambassador for 70 to 80 cigars has a dark blue base colour with the silhouette in lighter tones. The ambassador also features a famous quote from Winston Churchill’s book “Painting as a Pastime” from 1948. Both humidors are equipped with a Davidoff Slim regulator, developed and produced exclusively for Davidoff. The regulators ensure a stable humidification between 70% and 72% relative humidity by releasing or absorbing moisture as required. Other design details such as Churchill’s silhouette on the front side with a mirror effect, or the elegant silver plate with the Davidoff logo on the inside of the lid make these humidors highly functional yet undeniably stylish accessories for Winston Churchill fans and passionados alike.

The new Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2025» and the Davidoff Winston Churchill humidors in primos and ambassador size will be available at select Davidoff Appointed Merchants, premium cigar retailers and in Davidoff flagship stores from 9 January 2025*.
