Hunters & Frankau is introducing its latest UK Habanos Regional Edition, La Flor de Cano Selectos No.3 at three simultaneous events across the United Kingdom on 6^th February. These tasting events, held exclusively for H&F’s trade customers, will take place in London, Manchester and Glasgow.

The cigars will then be available from the 7^thFebruary via La Casas de Habanos, Havana Cigar Specialists as well as a select number of hotels, restaurants and private clubs.

La Flor de Cano Selectos No.3 is a medium-bodied, Cervantes size, measuring 6 ½” (165mm) x 42 ring gauge.

This size is often known as a ‘Lonsdale’, after the fifth Earl of Lonsdale, who wished to enjoy a slightly longer lasting corona, and so helped create the size and increase its popularity.

Although it was among the most popular cigar sizes, today there is only one Cervantes size in the Habanos portfolio, the Montecristo No.1.

This is the third time that La Flor de Cano has been chosen to create a UK regional edition, following the Short Robusto (2010) and the Gran Cano (2013).

The brand’s standard range is handmade with short-filler, using tobacco from Semi Vuelta as well as Vuelta Abajo.

For Regional Editions – an important distinction – all cigars are long-filler handmade with tobacco exclusively from Vuelta Abajo.

Each cigar is dressed with a unique band printed with the size name.

125,000 Selectos No.3’s have been produced and are presented in 5,000 numbered SLB boxes. They are available exclusively in the UK.

As with the 2018 El Rey del Mundo La Reyna, this elegant and well-balanced cigar recalls an iconic size from a previous era.
