Illinois Legislator Introduces Bill to Raise Cigar Tax Rate

If approved, a cigar with an MSRP of $9.50 would cost about 80 cents more at the register this summer. The money raised would be used to fund long-term care, healthcare provider relief, and tobacco cessation programs.
