My first stop at PCA 2025 takes me to Maya Selva Cigars – and the spirit of the 30-year-old company is fresher than ever and Maya Selva itself is full of verve. The entire team on site and in Danlí is delighted with the new factory and the spirit that prevails there.

“All employees in key positions have 30 or 40 years of professional experience – so all together we have 1000 years of expertise,” says a glowing Maya Selva.

Ricardo Aguilar, factory manager at Maya Selva, has a background as a manager in the coffee industry and is enthusiastic about the cigar industry. “I learn so much every day and love working with tobacco.” Production is still small – the factory is running at 30 percent capacity, but we will slowly ramp up the volume and continue to put quality above all else as our compass.”

The most important new launch, also for this year’s PCA Is the VZ Danlí.
