This summer, Cuba’s second largest city, Santiago de Cuba, celebrates its 510th anniversary. Camaquito would like to use this special anniversary to support the local population and send a message of hope.
Due to the current situation in Cuba, Mark Kuster (founder of Camaquito) has decided to donate 100 solar lamps (2000 watts) with batteries. These are to be installed in public parks and squares in the city center to bring light into the darkness for the people there.
The population suffers greatly from the frequent power cuts and often sits at home in the dark. The founder also wants to provide more security with the lighting. Crime in Cuba has increased and attacks on people are unfortunately not uncommon. Through Mark Kuster’s project, Camaquito hopes to strengthen people’s sense of security and give them back a bit of their quality of life.
Camaquito needs your support to make this important project a reality. The budget is CHF 6,500 – every contribution counts! Help Mark Kuster to make Santiago de Cuba a little brighter and safer.
Thank you for supporting Camaquito’s project idea with an individual donation – muchas gracias!
