Great Wall Cigar Unveils Two New Products

On June 30th 2025, China’s Great Wall Cigars hosted a “Cigar Industry Networking and New Product Tasting Event” at their flagship store and lounge in Hong Kong. The event, co-hosted by Sichuan China Tobacco Industrial Co., Ltd. and China Tobacco International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., brought together cigar distributors, media, and cigar passionados from Hong Kong and Macau to discuss market trends and participate in the release of two new Great Wall cigars: the Great Wall (Spectacular No. 3 Extra Finos) and the Great Wall (Year of the Horse Zodiac Limited Edition).

The event was not just a product release but also a platform for exchanging industry insights and cultural values among the participants. During the networking segment, guests Kenith Wong (Regional Director of The Pacific Cigar Company), Jorge Tapies (Partner of Cigar Journal and Head of Asia & Latin America), and Eric Piras (Owner of Bertie Cigar Lounge and Confidenciaal cigars), shared their views on global market trends, premium cigar lounge operations, and local regulations, offering enriching rich and global perspectives to all attendees.

Great Wall (Spectacular No. 3 Extra Finos)
An elevated version of the “Spectacular” series, blending aged tobaccos from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and China’s key growing regions, with an Ecuadorian wrapper leaf aged in oak barrels for extra flavors. The cigars were all hand-rolled by Great Wall Cigar master Liu Wanchun of the “Group 132” heritage rollers.

Great Wall Cigar (Year of the Horse Zodiac Limited Edition)
Embodying Chinese cultural heritage and the auspicious year of the Horse (Bingwu), as inspiration, the cigar exudes oriental charm throughout. The box draws inspiration from ancient jade seals: square, solemn, with vermillion and jet-black tones engraved with “Bingwu” and the totem “Leading the Charge”.
Its shape follows the “Mao-style” format, with a creatively designed “horse tail” cap, mimicking the flowing mane of a galloping steed. The wrapper has a fine silk-like texture symbolizing brightness and renewal. The binder and filler blend aged tobaccos from Nicaragua, Indonesia, and China, using the “132 Fermentation Method”.
