Trump Administration Threatens 100 Percent Tariffs on All Nicaraguan Products

Citing widespread human rights abuses, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative is threatening Nicaragua with a variety of major sanctions, one of which could be a 100 percent tariff rate on all products. Other significant threats include a suspension of Nicaragua’s CAFTA-DR privileges or increased tariffs for select industries.
