Maldives’ Generational Tobacco Ban Goes Into Effect

The Maldives is the first country in the world to ban the sale of tobacco and related products to people born after a certain date. The use of tobacco products by people born after Jan. 1, 2007 is also prohibited, and visitors won’t be exempt from the ban.
