Ferrera Cigars’ Peacock Brand Launches HTB line to Honor Honduras

Honduran manufacturer Ferrera Cigars has launched new Peacock Cigars brand and Honduras Tierra Bendita (HTB) line, honoring their homeland.

Each cigar is created to celebrate three of the key tobacco growing regions in Honduras: Copán, Jamastrán, and Olancho.

“Honduras Tierra Bendita HTB is more than just a brand; it is a tribute to the unparalleled richness of the Honduran land, the birthplace of some of the world’s best tobaccos. With a luxurious presentation and a masterful blend, HTB encapsulates the diversity and elegance of our valleys,” said Yesser Ferrera, Head of Ferrera Cigars and Peacock Cigars.

HTB  Copán

The tobacco from the Santa Rosa de Copán region benefits from a higher-altitude mountainous climate with cool nights and a dry atmosphere, notes Ferrera, which yield a leaf that generally tends to be smoother and medium-bodied compared to the earthy robustness of Jamastrán. For the HTB Copán, Copán filler and binder is wrapped in Jamastrán Connecticut tobacco.

HTB Olancho

Although representing a smaller percentage of national tobacco production (approximately 7%), tobacco from Olacho is highly valued for its intensity and richness. “Olancho’s terroir produces leaves that are known for their strength and character,” said Ferrera, noting the HTB Olancho, featuring Olancho filler, binder and maduro wrapper,  offers a strong and full-bodied smoking experience.

HTB Jamastrán

The Jamastrán Valley is known for its medium- to full-bodied profile, featuring an earthy complexity, notes of spice, cedar wood, and a natural sweetness. The HTB Jamastrán features a Jamastrán Criollo 98 wrapper on Jamastrán filler and binder.

Each of the three cigar blends are available as 54 x 5 ½ Robusto Extra
