Ireland’s First Habanos Regional Edition Gets London Launch

A DATE night at JJ Fox? My kind of date night.

And it was a night to remember, with Ireland’s first ever Habanos Regional Edition finally getting an airing.

The Punch Néctares is a beautiful Magnum 50 size of 160mm x 50 Rig Gauge and comes in cabinets of 50. Only 1,400 cabinets (70,000 cigars) have been made.

A healthy gathering were gifted a precious Néctares to smoke in the St James’s Street store and speeches were given by Director Rob Fox and Yirogos Manesis, Managing Director of James J Fox, Dublin. Smokes were enjoyed with a trio of whiskies from Fox’s own Irish whisky bottlings.

Cigar lovers have long awaited the Néctares since it was launched in Dublin last Summer – and the consensus on the night was that it was worth the wait.

Jimmy McGhee was back on familiar Cuban ground during the tasting, having just returned from Nicaragua’s Puro Sabor Festival. McGhee was a longtime marketing man for Hunters & Frankau, the UK importer of Cuban cigars and has now joined JJ Fox as Commercial Manager.
