Since 2019, American citizens have been allowed to sue companies that traffic in property seized by the Cuban government during the 1959 Revolution. This case involves a family who says a seized building it once owned was used by Habanos S.A., the Cuban cigar monopoly, in violation of that law. Once again, a court has ruled against the family.
