J.C. Newman Cigar Co. premieres The American Story | Chapter One — a new multi-part docuseries celebrating the journey behind The American, the first and only 100% all-American cigar.
This short documentary series travels from the tobacco fields of Lancaster, Pennsylvania to El Reloj, the last remaining cigar factory in the United States, here in Tampa, Florida. Along the way, it explores how tobacco has been woven into more than 400 years of American history.
In Chapter 1, J.C. Newman explores the origins of an American craft and the roots of the last operating cigar factory in the United States. It’s where the idea began. It’s where the story starts.
