RACHING has introduced a new device aimed at measuring cigar draw resistance in a portable format. According to the company, the product is the first handheld unit designed to combine draw resistance measurement with predictive indicators related to cigar humidity and smoke output.
The RACHING Portable Draw Resistance Tester incorporates a high-precision flow sensor and is designed for one-handed operation. The unit accommodates cigars up to a 70 ring gauge and features a food-grade silicone inspection port. A transparent LED display provides real-time readings during use.
The device is positioned as a tool for both retailers and consumers seeking a more standardized method of evaluating draw performance prior to smoking. In addition to measuring resistance, the system is intended to offer indicative data on internal cigar conditions, described by the manufacturer as a form of “cigar weather forecasting.”
The tester is powered by a rechargeable battery with fast-charging capability. The unit has a net weight of 642.5 grams and comes in packaging measuring 78 × 129 × 233 mm, with a gross weight of 936.9 grams.
No pricing or distribution details were disclosed at the time of announcement.
