Kentucky Legislators Cut Cigar Tax, Bill Awaits Governor’s Signature

If signed into law, the tax rate will drop from 15 percent to six percent of the wholesale price on July 1. The bill originally sought a tax cap, but that was scrapped in favor of a rate reduction.
