Warped Nicotina
Warped Nicotina is a bold, full strength Nicaraguan puro from Kyle Gellis’s Warped Cigars, designed to deliver maximum nicotine impact and rich, layered flavor in a compact, no nonsense package. Hand rolled at the TABSA factory in EstelÃ, Nicaragua using aged Cuban seed Nicaraguan tobaccos throughout, Nicotina lives up to its name with one of the strongest experiences in Warped’s catalog while still hitting the construction and balance standards that have made the brand a fixture among serious cigar collectors.
Key benefits and features
- True full strength Nicaraguan puro: Wrapper, binder, and filler are all aged Cuban seed Nicaraguan tobacco, delivering the punchy, ligero forward strength that Warped fans recognize from the Don Reynaldo and La Hacienda lines.
- Crafted at TABSA in EstelÃ: Hand rolled at one of Nicaragua’s premier factories under the supervision of Kyle Gellis, with the same construction discipline that defines Warped’s other limited and core releases.
- Cuban seed wrapper character: The Nicaraguan Cuban seed wrapper provides a dark, earthy, espresso laden top note that pairs naturally with the deeper pepper and spice driving the binder and filler underneath.
- Compact, concentrated format: Smaller vitolas focus the strength and flavor into a tighter, faster smoking experience that suits aficionados who want full intensity without committing to a 90 minute session.
- Limited production release: Like most Warped projects, Nicotina ships in tight quantities to specialty retailers, making it a true small batch cigar rather than a mass market line.
- Designed for experienced smokers: The cigar’s name, profile, and strength all signal that this is built for smokers who actively want a heavy nicotine push, not a forgiving everyday cigar.
Detailed description
Kyle Gellis built Warped Cigars on a clear philosophy: traditional Cuban inspired blends, small production runs, and unwavering attention to construction. Nicotina takes that philosophy and turns the strength dial as far as it will go. Every leaf in the cigar is Nicaraguan Cuban seed, aged at TABSA before being rolled into a compact format that concentrates the impact rather than diluting it across a long ring gauge or extended length.
The wrapper is a dark, oily Nicaraguan Cuban seed leaf with a moderate sheen of natural oil and a clean, well executed cap. The aroma off the foot carries dark earth, espresso, cocoa, leather, and a sharp black pepper note that previews the assertive opening puffs. The cold draw delivers cedar, dark chocolate, and a tingling spice that sits at the back of the tongue.
From first light, Nicotina pushes hard. The opening third hits with black pepper, espresso, dark cocoa, and a thick, oily smoke output that coats the palate without going harsh. The retrohale carries serious red pepper heat and a bright cedar note that lifts the heavier base flavors. As the burn moves into the second third, the pepper settles into the background and the profile deepens into earth, leather, dark chocolate, and a touch of dried fruit, with the strength climbing steadily and demanding a slow pace. The final third holds the intensity and adds charred wood, espresso, and a long finish that leaves the nicotine bell ringing well after the cigar is set down. Construction throughout is the typical Warped quality, with a straight burn, firm white ash, and an easy draw from light to nub.

Why is the cigar called Nicotina?
The name signals exactly what the cigar is designed to deliver. Nicotina is built around the highest nicotine impact in Warped’s lineup, using aged ligero forward Nicaraguan Cuban seed tobaccos in a compact format that concentrates strength rather than spreading it across a longer, milder ring gauge.
How strong is Warped Nicotina?
Nicotina is a full strength cigar that builds nicotine quickly through the first third and holds that intensity through the final third, making it best suited for smokers with a developed tolerance who actively want a heavy nicotine experience.
What flavors should I expect?
Expect black pepper, espresso, dark cocoa, earth, leather, cedar, charred wood, and a touch of dried fruit, with thick, oily smoke output and a retrohale that carries significant red pepper heat layered over the darker base notes.
Who is Kyle Gellis and why does Warped have such a following?
Kyle Gellis is the founder and master blender of Warped Cigars, known for traditional Cuban inspired blends, small batch production, and exceptional construction at TABSA in EstelÃ. His core lines such as La Colmena, Don Reynaldo, and Flor del Valle have become collector favorites, and limited releases like Nicotina sell quickly to enthusiasts who track every Warped drop.
Is Nicotina suitable for beginners?
No. The full strength profile and concentrated nicotine load are not designed for newer smokers, who may find the cigar overwhelming. Beginners are better served by Warped’s milder lines like La Colmena Petite Lancero or by other medium bodied cigars before working up to Nicotina.
What drinks pair well with Warped Nicotina?
Full bodied bourbon, cask strength single malt scotch, aged rum, dark espresso, or an imperial stout all complement the cigar’s pepper, espresso, cocoa, and earth profile while standing up to the full strength delivery.
When is the best time to smoke Nicotina?
Smoke Nicotina after a substantial meal, on a relaxed evening, and at a deliberate pace. The cigar is not designed for an empty stomach or a quick session, and the nicotine impact is best appreciated when you have time to settle in and savor the flavor evolution.
How should I store Warped Nicotina?
Store at 65 to 70 percent relative humidity and roughly 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit in a stable humidor, which preserves the Cuban seed wrapper’s natural oils, protects construction, and allows the Nicaraguan filler to continue marrying its pepper and earth character over time.

Not a heavy nicotine hitter as the name suggests. The flavor notes are caramel and bread sweetness in the first and second third and into the third I got bright citrus sweetness. Throughout the cigar, I got coffee, roasted nuts and dry earth. If you love Warped, you will love this one. Grab a box as it is box worthy.

💥Boom! says the mouth with this nicotine-heavy, flavor bomb. Not your typical Warped cigar, this is not a subtle smoke. Oh so good. Peppery, yet there are distinct leather notes that round this one out. Don’t smoke on an empty tummy, but awesome after a spicy/heavy meal.

A wonderfully full bodied cigar. It is a nice segue for smokers looking to step into stronger smokes. It won’t overwhelm you, but it will punch you in the palate and let you know its not messing around.

I was worried this would be too strong for me given the name (and I’m a lightweight). It started out a bit gritty and earthy through the first 1/2 inch or so but quickly turned into a great smooth smoke. I’m considering a box after these first 2

This is powerful, and not for the inexperienced smoker. Great flavors that really pack a punch.
