For the first time, the Sociedad Habanosommelier is bringing its Level 1 Sommelier Course offline to Asia.
Maestros Mr Fernando Fernandez Millian (Cuba), Mr Alexandre Avellar (Brazil), and Mr Gabriel Estrada (Argentina) will be delivering the course in Vietnam. The course can be completed from 23-26 September at La Casa del Habano, Ho Chi Minh City or from 27-30 September at Habanos Specialist, Hanoi.
“It is with great pleasure that we bring this course offline to South-East Asia with such esteemed maestros,” said Daria Spitsyna, Avanti Group’s Business Development Manager & Habanos Master. “The course is perfect for cigar connoisseurs, tobacconists and cigar lounge managers, hospitality professionals, and cigar media and influencers – pretty much anyone who loves Habanos cigars and wants to learn more.”
Participants will enjoy over 18 hours of classes through six live sessions, featuring six iconic Habanos paired with 18 different drinks and spirits, ranging from the standard portfolio to the most rare and collectible editions, plus some extra bonuses. Attendees will receive the internationally recognized Level 1 Diploma after completing the course’s final exam.
Habanos Sommelier Society has already graduated close to 100 students worldwide through its online learning courses for Habano Sommelier Level 1 and the highest degree of Master Sommelier Course conducted live in Cuba. The next Master training will take place in Havana during the first week of March in 2025, right after the Habanos Festival XXV.
The course fee includes instruction, all cigars, and drinks. Hotel packages are being developed and will be communicated with participants.
