As previously reported earlier this year, the Cigar Smoking World Championship and Club Mareva initiated collaboration with one of the biggest clothing companies in Turkey, Orka Group. The idea was to produce a clothing line for both judges and competitors in time for the grand finale in Dubrovnik, a week from now.
The clothing line has now been launched with one of Turkey’s most renowned gentleman’s clothing brands, Damat Tween, which is owned by Orka Group, beginning with a collection of CSWC polo shirts.
“This collaboration is more than just a business arrangement; it’s a meeting of minds, a fusion of shared visions that seamlessly intertwines the worlds of cigars and fashion. CSWC and Orka Group have discovered common ground in their dedication to gentlemanly style and lifestyle, making them an inseparable duo. CSWC, with its unique global competition, embodies the gentleman’s philosophy and lifestyle, while Damat Tween, the crown jewel of Orka Group, is dedicated to crafting timeless classics tailored for the modern man—especially the young gentleman,” it says on the CSWC website.
The inspiration comes from the world of high speed driving.
“Given that CSWC has earned the nickname ‘Formula 1 of the Cigar World’, it’s only fitting that the CSWC team has drawn inspiration from the sleek and dynamic designs of Formula 1 fashion for their polo shirts,” the CSWC comments.
Next up is the judges’ uniforms, and the excitement coming from the CSWC over this collaboration is inevitable.
“Damat Tween will support the CSWC referee organization, providing not only referee shirts but also other key elements of the official referee uniform. So stay tuned, because the world of gentlemen’s fashion and cigar culture is about to get even more thrilling.”
