Last year Armenia made its debut on the Cigar Smoking World Championship circuit, and it was a surprisingly good one. The winner, David Ter Gulanyan, smoked for an impressive 1 hour 52 minutes and 24 seconds to become the first ever Armenian champion of slow smoking.
This year ten participants took to the white couches at the Amanoo Luxury Residential Complex in the capital, Yerevan, to compete for the 2024 national title. The top were all new names and the times were more modest, but the spirit was the same.
In the end a new national champion of Armenia was crowned when Tigran Gevorgyan’s cigar went out after 1 hour 13 minutes and 5 seconds. Second place went to Areg Aghasaryan at 1 hour and 7 seconds and third place went to Hakob Menemshyan, who smoked for 54 minutes and 27 seconds.
Tigran Gevorgyan 1:13.05
