Oliva and Elie Bleu Unveil Second Humidor: Las Mesitas

Elie Bleu and Oliva Cigars, known globally for brands such as Oliva Serie V Melanio, are in the midst of a collaboration called the “Exclusive Trilogy of Humidors.” 

After their 2023 premiere release, “Tabolisa Uno,” their second creation in this historic trilogy, “Las Mesitas,” is ready to launch. The final release will launch sometime in 2025. The concept is a celebration of the craftsmanship and rich heritage of both iconic brands, with each edition representing a key Oliva building in Estelí, Nicaragua, integral to the production of Oliva’s renowned cigars. 

A Tribute to Oliva’s Legacy
Las Mesitas is Oliva’s tobacco processing hub in Nicaragua, playing a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of the company’s cigars. Officially opened in 2022, Las Mesitas processes and ferments the finest tobacco leaves, ensuring superior quality through meticulous sorting and fermentation methods. It has become a cornerstone of Oliva’s production, contributing to the brand’s continued excellence in the world of premium cigars. 

Oliva’s owner, Fred Vandermarliere, commented on the collaboration: “Making cigars is complex, very complex if you take into account the work from the seed to the cigars. With our trilogy of humidors that we can make with the master house Elie Bleu, we are very, very proud to present to you our second humidor, a masterpiece that showcases our Las Mesitas processing center. Last year, you had the ‘Tabolisa Uno cigar’ gallery; now, we show you where we process the leaves. Fermentation and sorting of the tobacco leaves is the core to making a cigar, and ensuring the consistency of the cigar over the years. There is no premium cigar without a premium sorting center, and there is no premium sorting center without a humidor made for it.” 

The Elie Bleu Las Mesitas humidor is a stunning replica of this facility, showcasing Elie Bleu’s remarkable craftsmanship. For this second release, only 124 units will be produced, making it a rare and sought-after collector’s item for cigar passionados worldwide.

The release of Las Mesitas represents the continuation of a unique partnership between two industry icons.
