Selected Tobacco Launches Atabey Duendes Tubes

Measuring 6 1/8 by 54, each cigar is packaged in sophisticated cartons of three tubes. These uniquely designed aluminum tubes, have a golden peak to house the torpedo style vitola. Made from aluminum, Selected Tobacco was conscious to choose packaging with a high recycling rate that is also energy-efficient to recycle. 

The Atabey Duendes features a choice Ecuadorian shade-grown wrapper. The blend, created by Nelson Alfonso of Selected Tobacco, has a binder leaf from the Dominican Republic, cradling ambrosial filler leaves sourced from the fertile regions of Peru and Nicaragua. Each pack will house three, aged Atabey Duendes protected by their golden casings. 

Every Atabey cigar undergoes an extensive five-year, post-roll aging process, utilizing cedar woods from five different countries. This proprietary methodology involves adjusting humidity levels to create a unique “breathing” effect, ensuring that each cigar not only captures the saga of the cedar trees but cleanses the tobaccos within. 

The Atabey Duendes Tubes have started to reach United Cigar retailers and have a retail value of $108.00 per three pack or $36.00 per tube. Available in limited quantities.
